Blue Jays recall Bisons' Jenkins
Pitcher gets big league promotion, Jeffress designated
The Toronto Blue Jays tonight announced that they have recalled Bisons RHP CHAD JENKINS. To make roster room, the Blue Jays designated RHP JEREMY JEFFRESS for assignment.
Jenkins, 26, has not pitched for the Bisons this year. He made five starts for the Bisons in 2013 and was 0-3 with a 7.48 ERA (21.2 IP, 33 H, 8 SO). He also made three starts and seven relief appearances for the Blue Jays last season, going 1-0 with a 2.70 ERA (33.1 IP, 31 H, 15 SO).
Jeffress allowed three runs in 2.1 innings of a pair of relief outings for the Blue Jays this season.
