The Buffalo Bisons today announced that RHP CASEY LAWRENCE has been promoted to the team from Single-A Dunedin. Lawrence will start for the Herd tonight as Buffalo hosts the Syracuse Chiefs to open a seven-game homestand.

To make roster room, RHP BOBBY KORECKY has been placed on the disabled list.

Lawrence, 25, will be making his Triple-A debut with the Bisons. The righty spent most of last season with Dunedin of the Florida State League and was 9-6 with a 3.63 ERA in 24 games and 23 starts (138.2 IP, 90 SO). He led the Dunedin Blue Jays in starts and innings pitched and tied for the team-lead in both wins and strikeouts. Lawrence also pitched three games with the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats in 2012 and posted a 6.39 ERA in 12.2 innings of work.

A four-year pro, Lawrence went a career-best 11-8 with a 3.08 ERA in 22 starts with Single-A Lansing in 2011.
