The Buffalo Bisons today announced that C SEAN OCHINKO has been promoted to the team from Double-A New Hampshire.
Ochinko, 25, has played 41 games with the Fisher Cats and hit .244 (35-144) with 13 doubles, two home runs and 20 runs scored. His 13 doubles were third on the New Hampshire squad. Behind the plate, Ochinko threw out 26% of would-be base stealers (10 CS, 28 ATT).
Ochinko was the Blue Jays 11th round pick in the 2009 First-Year Player Draft. He split the 2012 season between New Hampshire and Single-A Dunedin and averaged .278 (90-324) with nine home runs and 42 RBI.
