Bulls Return Friday to Begin 10-Game Homestand

Longest Home Stretch Of Season Features Visit From Red Sox Top Affiliate

The Governors' Cup Champion Durham Bulls return to downtown Durham on Friday, May 30 to begin a ten-game homestand featuring visits from the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, Pawtucket Red Sox, and Norfolk Tides. The team's longest homestand of the season is highlighted by two fireworks shows and a collaboration with local independent label Merge Records.

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs, Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, arrive in downtown Durham on Friday, May 30 to begin a four-game series with the Bulls. The 7:05pm homestand opener, presented by Chevrolet and Sanofi US, will be immediately followed by Friday Night Fireworks, courtesy of Duke Energy.

The Bulls close out May with a 7:05pm game, presented by Bayer CropScience, on Saturday, the 31st. On June 1, Sun Tan City presents SUNsational Sunday, a 5:05pm contest featuring postgame Kids Run the Bases courtesy of Nature's Twist. Lehigh Valley wraps up its lone Durham visit of the season on Monday, June 2 in a midweek matinee beginning at 1:05pm.

On Tuesday, June 3, the Bulls begin a four-game set with the Pawtucket Red Sox, top affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. The 7:05pm series opener features the 2-for-1 ROOsdays offer, where fans can get two Terrace Reserved tickets for the price of one when they show or mention the Kangaroo Express app at the DBAP box office. Tuesday's game is presented by Duke Regional Hospital. The following night on Wednesday, June 4, NC Siding and Windows presents a 7:05pm contest between the two teams who battled in last year's Governors' Cup Finals.

Two revered Bull City icons partner on Thursday, June 5 for a celebration of great music and baseball on Merge Records Night. Celebrating their 25th anniversary in 2014, Durham-based Merge Records will take over player at-bat music and Mac McCaughan, Merge co-founder and Superchunk front man, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Heather McEntire of Merge band Mount Moriah will perform the National Anthem prior to the 7:05pm game presented by the North Carolina Education Lottery. At all Thursday home games, with the exception of July 3, fans can enjoy $1 Bright Leaf hot dogs, popcorn and fries. In addition, Thursdays are College Nights where students can get a Terrace Reserved ticket and $5 in Bulls Bucks for just $11 or an Outfield Reserved ticket for only $5.99 by entering the promo code COLLEGE (and using a valid .edu email address) when purchasing tickets online at durhambulls.com. Finally, fans take advantage of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC True Blue Thursday promotion, where they can get a game ticket and exclusive cap for just $11.

The series finale with the PawSox on Friday, June 6 is presented by Hillandale Golf Course. The 7:05pm game will be followed by another huge Friday Night Fireworks show, courtesy of Duke Energy.

The IL South division rival Norfolk Tides, Triple-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, return to the DBAP on Saturday, June 7 to begin a short two-game series. The Saturday series opener, presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC, begins at 7:05pm.

The longest homestand of 2014 concludes on Sunday, June 8. The 5:05pm finale features the second of four Bike to the Ballpark events of the year, presented by GoTriangle. Fans who ride their bicycle to the DBAP and park it in the secure bike valet will be able to purchase a $10 ticket which includes $5 in food credit. Additionally, the first 200 fans to park their bikes will receive a Bulls gift bag with goodies from partners including GoTriangle, Great Outdoor Provision Company, the City of Durham, and Dick's Sporting Goods. Following the game, Kids Run the Bases thanks to Nature's Twist.

The defending International League Champion Durham Bulls return to the renovated Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Friday, May 30 to begin a ten-game homestand featuring visits from the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, Pawtucket Red Sox, and Norfolk Tides.
