Four-Run 6th Leads Toledo Past Durham, 5-2

Chirinos Suffers 2nd Straight Loss; Casali HRs

Toledo, OH --- A four-run outburst in the sixth propelled the Toledo Mud Hens to a 5-2 win over the Durham Bulls on Saturday night at Fifth Third Field.
After the Bulls (41-26) squandered a leadoff triple in the top of the sixth, Toledo (29-37) conneceted five hits against Yonny Chirinos (L, 5-2). The Mud Hens drilled three doubles and two singles to snap a 1-1 tie.
Mike McKenry doubled against the centerfield wall to bring home Casey Gillaspie to draw the Bulls to within 5-2 in the seventh.
Down 1-0 in the fifth inning, Curt Casali homered against Matt Boyd (W, 2-0) to tie the game, Casali's first home run since April 14th.
Chirinos worked six innings, permitting eight hits and five runs in absorbing his second straight loss.
Wilson Ramos was 0-3 and caught the first six innings of the game in continuing his major league rehab. Brad Boxberger struck out two in the seventh inning, allowing a double in his second rehab appearance with the Bulls.
Willy Adames collected his second straight multi-hit game, going 2-3 with a walk.
The Bulls' road trip ends on Sunday night at 6:05 PM ET with Hunter Wood making his Triple-A debut. Wood was 4-4 with a 4.76 ERA at Double-A Montgomery. He'll be opposed by Matt Crouse (1-2, 6.19).
