Promotion-Packed Homestand Coming to DBAP

Hispanic Heritage Night, fireworks shows, $1 Concessions all on tap

With only 12 regular season home games remaining, the Durham Bulls are in the midst of a seven-game homestand against the Louisville Bats and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. The homestand continues Thursday when the Bulls open up a four-game series against the New York Yankees' top affiliate, as Hispanic Heritage Night, $1 Concessions and a pair of fireworks shows highlight the four-game stanza.


Durham and Louisville close their series on Wednesday, August 9 at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday's contest is Bring a Book Night presented by Amundi Pioneer, as each fan who donates a children's book will receive a buy-one, get-one ticket for the evening's game.


The Bulls' homestand continues on Thursday, August 10 with the first game of a four-game series against the New York Yankees' top affiliate. That evening is Hispanic Heritage Night, when the Bulls will transform into Los Toros de Durham for one night only. The team will don special jerseys and hats for the event, and all jerseys will be auctioned off with the proceeds benefitting El Centro Hispano. Additionally, the 7:05 p.m. contest features $1 Concessions, as Bright Leaf hot dogs, soda and popcorn are just a buck all evening long.


Durham squares off against the Scranton/WB RailRiders at 7:05 p.m. on Friday, August 11, with that night's game presented by QuintilesIMS. Before the game, the DBAP will host the International League Hall of Fame induction for the franchise's all-time saves leader Lee Gardner. Following the game will be a Friday Night Fireworks show presented by bioMerieux.


On Saturday, August 12 the Bulls and RailRiders will meet for a 6:35 p.m. contest presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC). After the game the Durham skyline will light up once more with a Saturday Night Fireworks show presented by JT's Landscaping.


The homestand comes to a close on Sunday, August 13 at 5:05 p.m. with Field of Hope presented by UNC Health Care benefitting the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Fans can use the promo code PLAY4KAY to purchase tickets for $14.99, with $5 from each ticket going to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, as well as a portion of proceeds from all cotton candy and lemonade sales. Additionally, Sunday is Daddy/Daughter Day, including a Daddy/Daughter Dunk Station on the Diamond View concourse with all proceeds benefitting the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Following the contest, children get to show off their speed with Kids Run the Bases presented by Nature's Twist.
