Bees Announce Opening Day Roster




Burlington, IA. - The Las Angeles Angels of Anaheim have assigned players to the 25 man roster of the Class A Burlington Bees, led by manager Jack Howell. The Bees roster features three of the Angels Top 30 Prospects, OF Jo Adell (#2), OF Brandon Marsh (#5) and INF Leonardo Rivas (#15).  


The Angles drafted outfielder Jo Adell in the 10th overall pick of the 2017 draft. The 18-year-old batted .325/.376/.532 over two rookie seasons, with eight triples and as many steals in 49 games.


The Bees pitching staff features two that spent either all or parts of the 2017 season with the Bees (Luis Madero and Sam Pastrone).


Two position players return to the Bees for the 2018 season including infielders Leonardo Rivas and Jeyson Sanchez.

Pitchers: Jeremy Beasley, Brett Hanewich, Simon Mathews, Keith Rogalla, Mitchell Traver, James Ziemba, Luis Madero, Sam Pastrone, Kida De La Cruz, Max Herrmann, Jorge Tavarez, Austin Krzeminski


Catchers: Keinner Pina, Harrison Wenson


Infielders: Julio Garcia, David MacKinnon, Leonardo Rivas, Jeyson Sanchez, Franklin Torres, Gleyvin Pineda


Outfielders: Jo Adell, Brandon Marsh, Torii Hunter Jr., Spencer Griffiin


The 2018 Burlington Bees will take the field on Thursday, April 5th, at 6:30pm facing the Peoria Chiefs at Community Field. Tickets are available now at The first 500 in attendance receive a 2018 magnet schedule.
