(Burlington, IA) - Burlington Bees' shortstop Roberto Baldoquin and pitcher Erik Manoah were selected to represent the Burlington Bees in the 2017 Midwest League All-Star Game, hosted by the Great Lakes Loons at Dow Diamond in Midland, Michigan.
Bees' shortstop Robert Baldoquin has played in 35 games for the Bees this season and is batting .262 with six doubles, a triple and two home runs while driving in seven runs. Baldoquin was signed by the Angels' as an International Free Agent out of Cubs in 2015 and spent the last two seasons with the Inland Empire 66ers.
Joining Baldoquin at this year's Midwest League All-Star Game is Bees' starting pitcher Erik Manoah who has pitched in 10 games for the Bees this season, making seven starts. The 21-year-old Homestead, Florida native has put together a 1-3 record with a 3.89 ERA. Manoah has pitched in 44 innings this season and has struck out 36 batters. Manoah was acquired by the Angels in August last year in a trade that sent Fernando Salas to the New York Mets.
The Midwest League's 53rd All-Star Game will take place on Tuesday, June 20th, at Dow Diamond in Midland, Michigan with first pitch scheduled for 6:05 p.m. CDT. The festivities will begin on Monday, June 19th with the Midwest League Home Run Derby.
