Rays Sweep Two From Royals

Princeton takes both ends of double header Sunday evening

PRINCETON, WV - The Princeton Rays (31-17) swept a double header from the Burlington Royals (16-35) on Sunday night. The Rays took game one 3-2 and the night cap 13-4.The Royals scored first in game one, on a Juan Carlos Negret two-run double in the top of the first inning.

The Royals scored first in game one, on a Juan Carlos Negret two-run double in the top of the first inning. After that, Burlington did not score again in the game.
Princeton scored twice in the fifth to tie the game and then won it on a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the seventh.
In game two, the Rays had an 11-0 lead by the third inning. Matt Morales, Jose Marquez and Colby Schultz had RBIs in the game for the Royals.
The third game of the series will be Monday night in Princeton. First pitch is set for 7:00 p.m.
The Burlington Royals are the Appalachian League affiliate of the Kansas City Royals.
