Danville, VA - The Danville Braves (13-9) scored seven runs in the seventh and eighth innings to beat the Burlington Royals (4-19) by a score of 8-1 on Thursday evening. With the win, the Braves have clinched the four-game series, winning the first three contests.Danville got on the board first

Danville, VA - The Danville Braves (13-9) scored seven runs in the seventh and eighth innings to beat the Burlington Royals (4-19) by a score of 8-1 on Thursday evening. With the win, the Braves have clinched the four-game series, winning the first three contests.
Danville got on the board first in the game, scoring in the top of the first inning. Burlington tied the game in the top of the fourth on a Jackson Lueck RBI single, scoring Juan Carlos Negret.
The game remained tied at one until the bottom of the seventh. In their final two offensive innings, the D-Braves scored seven runs to take the game 8-1.
The fourth and final game of the series will be Friday night in Danville. First pitch is set for 7:00 p.m.
The Burlington Royals are the Appalachian League affiliate of the Kansas City Royals.
