Burlington, N.C. -- For the eighth consecutive season, the Burlington Royals will host the Kernersville Bulldogs in their first tilt of the year. The June 17th matchup will be the Royals' sole exhibition game before kicking off the 2018 season on June 22nd with a five-game home stand against the Bluefield Blue Jays and the Danville Braves.
This will mark new B-Royals manager Brooks Conrad's first experience at the helm, after serving as the bench coach in Burlington in 2017. He is joined by veteran pitching coach Carlos Martinez and Nelson Liriano. Liriano will return to Burlington as the hitting coach, after previously serving as the team's manager from 2009-2011.

"We're excited to host the Kernersville Bulldogs again this year. It's almost become a tradition to open up our season with them, and I'm glad we get to continue it for another season," said Mikie Morrison, B-Royals General Manager.
