(Coquitlam, B.C.) - Vancouver Canadians mascot Bob Brown Bear had a great time visiting his friends at Coquitlam Centre this past Wednesday as they celebrated Kids Shopping Night.

The festivities began with a parade around the shopping centre as Bob saw his friends Hartley from Variety - The Children's Charity and Lampy from BC Hydro Power Smart.

Bob participated in milk and cookie decorating stations, arts and crafts station, face painting, balloon tying, free gift wrapping, letters to Santa station, and more.

In addition, photos with the one and only Santa Claus were free with a donation of an unwrapped toy, resulting in a mountain of fun items for needy children in our community.

"This is an event we've been proud to support over the past few years and it's always a blast coming out to Coquitlam. I think it's in large part because we have so many fans that come to our games from the Tri-Cities area and remember Bob Brown Bear from the summertime. They really make our organization feel welcome and a part of the community".
