Justice will be served as part of 2017 Superstar Series

(Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium - Vancouver, B.C.) - The Vancouver Canadians Baseball Club has announced its first member of the 2017 Superstar Series, presented by Blakes & The BC Sports Hall of Fame, as 14-year Major League star David Justice is headed out to historic Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium on Tuesday, July 18th.
Justice, now 51, broke into the Major Leagues with the Atlanta Braves winning National League Rookie of the Year honours in 1990 after hitting .282 with 28 home runs and 78 RBI. Justice would play eight (8) seasons in Atlanta while twice being named an All-Star and helping the Braves advance to three (3) World Series. He managed his elusive Championship ring in the third try (1995) as Atlanta topped Cleveland with Justice managing five (5) RBI in the six-game series.
Justice would surprising get traded to Cleveland in 1997 and immediately help the Indians to the World Series where they would fall in seven games to Florida. He would play four (4) seasons with Cleveland before finding his way to New York with the Yankees in the summer of 2000 and make two more World Series appearances winning against the crosstown rival Mets and losing the following year (2001) against the Diamondbacks.
Simply put, wherever Justice went, a trip to the World Series wasn't far behind as the 14-year vet played in six (6) Fall Classics.
Off the field, Justice was named one of People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People (1994) and was inducted into the Atlanta Braves Hall of Fame after helping one of baseball's most consistent franchise's claim six (6) consecutive National League East Division titles. (Note: The Braves would claim 11 consecutive NL East titles from 1995-2005)
David Justice is the first of three (3) Superstar Series appearances set to be announced by the Vancouver Canadians Baseball Club this week.
