NWL to re-introduce All-Star Game in 2013

(Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium - Everett, WA) - It might be one of those night's where you remember where you were when you got your first look at a young star before the rest of the baseball world discovered his talents on the diamond.

For the first time in almost a decade, the Northwest League will host an All-Star Game featuring the top players from across the eight-team circuit.

If you were to look at the past few years in the Northwest League, players like Buster Posey, Jurickson Profar, Justin Nicolino and Nate Freiman would have all likely received a call to the midsummer showcase.  

This year, Everett will play host to the 2013 All-Star Game and likely pull out all the stops to re-introduce the All-Star format to those who might not remember the last time the best in the Northwest all got together on one diamond.
