Captains Announce Promotional Giveaways for 2014
(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains, the Class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, is announcing its complete 2014 promotional schedule this week. Today the promotional giveaways will be highlighted.
The Captains will offer many premium giveaways beginning on Opening Night, Friday, April 4 when the first 1,500 fans will receive a Captains Team Scarf, presented by Lake Heath and all fans will receive a magnet schedule. The giveaways are part of the Captains Opening Weekend celebration.
The Captains will honor Mother's with a special carnation giveaway presented by J.D. Ballantine's Flowers and Gifts on Saturday, May 10, the day prior to Mother's Day.
Friday, June 20, the first 1,500 fans will receive a Captains baseball cap, courtesy of Lake Health.
On Saturday, July 12, the first 3,000 fans will receive glow sticks as part of Glow in the Park Night where the glow sticks will be used to enhance their experience during the Star Wars post-game fireworks show that night.
The Captains will celebrate Christmas in July on Friday, July 25, with a bobble doll presented by Lake Health featuring Skipper washing his mouth out with soap. The doll is the fifth in a series of "A Captains Story" bobbles that pays homage to the Christmas Story house located in Cleveland.
Go Green Night is Saturday, August 2, and the first 1,500 fans will receive a Captains Alumni Card Set made with recycled materials, presented by the Lake County Solid Waste District. The card set will feature twenty former Captains players from previous seasons that were fan favorites.
Stanley Steemer will once again present its annual Captains youth replica jersey giveaway to the first 1,000 kids 12 and under on Saturday, July 26.
Friday, August 1, will be the annual Salute to Cleveland Sports History Night and the Captains will pay tribute to the movie Major League which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. As part of the celebration,
the first 1,500 fans will receive a Jobu bobble doll presented by Sysco. In the movie, Jobu is the spiritual leader of Cleveland Indians outfielder Pedro Cerrano.
The final giveaway of the year will take place on Saturday, August 23, when the first 1,500 fans will receive a Francisco Lindor bobble doll presented by Lake Health. Lindor was the Indians first round draft pick (8th overall) in 2011 and played all of the 2012 season with the Captains.
Bruce Custom Graphics will once again provide three removable wall decal giveaways to fans on yet to be determined dates.
