Captains Announce Weekly Theme Nights for 2013 Season

(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains, the Class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, is announcing its complete 2013 promotional schedule this week. Today the Weekly Theme Nights will be highlighted.

The popular Monday Buck Night, presented by PNC, will return this year and feature $1 Five Star Brand Hot Dogs, chips, French fries, popcorn, soda and beer. Also, fans receive a $1 discount on their tickets or $2 off their tickets if they use a PNC Bank debit or credit card.

New in 2013 is the Captains Tuesday Dawg Nights featuring appearances by former and current Cleveland Browns players. A complete list of Browns player appearances will be announced at a later date. These dates will also include a Webkinz plush dog giveaway for the first 1,000 kids 12 and under in attendance.

On four Tuesday game dates beginning May 14, Bark in the Park returns and features the opportunity for fans to bring their canine friends to Classic Park. Dog owners can purchase $5 pooch passes for these games, from which a portion of the proceeds will benefit local animal charities.

Wednesdays are Community Nights when a different local community will be highlighted and honored each week. Information and activities highlighting each designated community will be featured on these game dates.

Thirsty Thursdays, presented by ESPN 850 WKNR, will feature a .25-cent beer Happy Hour for one hour before game time and half-price draft beer and fountain soda until 9 PM. A wing and pizza buffet will also be available outside the Corona Castaways Bar during each game. Thursday is also Date Night, which provides couples with the opportunity to purchase two tickets to The Officer's Club Suite and enjoy a buffet dinner, a $56 value, for only $32.

The Captains have scheduled nine Friday Fireworks Nights presented by 92.3 FM The Fan throughout the 2013 season. In addition, every Friday night will feature a post-game concert from a popular local band in the left field picnic area. The Corona Castaways Bar will remain open for the concerts and fans may find a complete listing of all of the bands scheduled to play throughout the season on the Captains website.

Nine Saturday Fireworks Nights presented by Monreal Funeral Home and Cremation Service will take place beginning with the May 18 Captains game. Saturday is also Ladies Night, presented by Malibu Rum, featuring Malibu Rum drink specials for ladies in attendance.

The Captains will also host two special Sunday fireworks shows presented by Discount Drug Mart, on July 21 and August 4.

Sundays will once again be Family Fun Sundays, presented by the Lake County YMCA, and will include pre-game player autograph sessions, concourse entertainment and activities, the Kids' Zone area and the opportunity for kids to run the bases after the game. All kids in attendance will receive a Captains activities book and crayons, presented by the YMCA and Lake County Job and Family Services.
