Povse promoted to Double-A Mississippi

The Braves promoted Max Povse to Double-A Mississippi

ZEBULON, NC - The Atlanta Braves announced several player transactions today with one affecting the Carolina Mudcats active roster. The roster moves included the promotion of RHP Max Povse from the Mudcats to the Mississippi Braves.

Povse, 22, was 5-5 and pitched to a 3.71 ERA over 15 starts with the Mudcats before his promotion to Double-A Mississippi today by the Braves. Povse, a native of Cary, NC and Green Hope High School alum, was second in the Carolina League in strikeouts (91) at the time of promotion. He earned the first Carolina League Pitcher of the Week award (4/9-4/16) earlier this season and was a mid-season Carolina League All-Star. 

The Mudcats roster is currently at 24 active players with seven players on the disabled list and one on the suspended list.
