Jared Akins produced a two-run home run within the opening stanza that put Cedar Rapids ahead.
All fans who had a ticket for the contest can visit the Kernels Ticket Office to exchange for a ticket of equal or lesser value to another 2019 Cedar Rapids Kernels regular season home game based on availability.

Saturday's game will resume from the point of interruption at 2:05 p.m. Sunday afternoon. It will be played to nine innings with a 30-minute break to follow before these teams square off in a seven-inning contest to wrap up the series and the first half of the 2019 season. Broadcast coverage with Chris Kleinhans-Schulz will be on 1450 KMRY AM and 93.1 KMRY FM and also online at www.kmryradio.com, www.kernels.com, and MiLB.TV.
Cedar Rapids will celebrate the 30-year anniversary of Field of Dreams with a special souvenir baseball giveaway sponsored by Goodwill and a visit from Dwier Brown who played John Kinsella in the movie. Western Fraternal Life Kids Eat Free Sunday provides all kids aged 12 and under with a voucher for a free hot dog, popcorn, and drink. After the game, all fans can run the bases, play catch in the outfield, and get autographs from the Cedar Rapids Kernels courtesy of Prairie Farms and 104.5 KDAT. Travel Advisors Baseball Bingo, Papa Balloon, and Face Painting by Kennedy are also part of Sunday's festivities.
Fans can purchase tickets for all Cedar Rapids Kernels home games by visiting www.kernels.com, going to the Kernels Ticket Office, or calling (319) 896-7560. The Kernels Ticket Office is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays. On Sundays when the Kernels have a home game, the Kernels Ticket Office will open at 11:00 a.m.
