Kernels roster at 24 active players

Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Minnesota Twins announce that RHP Ryan Mason has been promoted to Fort Myers of the Florida State League. Jeremy Zoll, Twins Director of Minor League Operations, announced the move.

Mason made three relief appearances for the Kernels this season, posting a 1-0 record and 1.80 ERA. In 5 IP, he allowed three hits and an earned run while striking out four. The Twins selected him in the 13th round of the 2016 First Year Player Draft out of UC-Berkeley.

A corresponding move was not announced by the Twins. With today's transactions, the Kernels roster is at 24 active players, one below the MWL maximum of 25, with five players currently on the DL, one player on the suspended list and one player on the military leave list.

The Kernels begin a three-game home stand tonight with the Clinton LumberKings, the Midwest League affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, at 6:35 PM with the gates opening at 5:30 PM. The upcoming home stand continues through Sunday, April 15th.
