Charleston's Season Opener Rained Out in Greenville

Game will be made-up as a DH Saturday, Teams will play single game at 7:05pm Friday

GREENVILLE, SC- The Charleston RiverDogs 2013 South Atlantic League Season Opener against the Greenville Drive has been postponed due to the inclement weather that has disrupted the area all day. The two teams will play a single nine-inning game tomorrow (Friday) with a scheduled start time of 7:05 pm at Fluor Field in Greenville. Thursday's game between the Drive and RiverDogs will be played as a doubleheader on Saturday, beginning at 4:30 PM. Both games of the twinbill will be seven-innings, with game two starting no earlier than 7:00 PM.

 

The starting pitchers for Friday's game will be the original starters for Thursday, which were RHP Cesar Vargas (NR) for the RiverDogs against fellow RHP Justin Haley (NR) for the Greenville Drive.

 

Charleston opens up the 2013 home portion of their schedule next Thursday April, 11 at 7:05 pm. It will be a Budweiser Thirsty Thursday at The Joe with a seven-game homestand that features both the Augusta GreenJackets and the Rome Braves.
