CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Charleston RiverDogs have announced the additions of two new members to the front office staff, adding Matt Roddy as the new Assistant Director of Food & Beverage and Maddie Grace Smith as the Riley Park Club Manager.
Roddy joins the RiverDogs from Columbia, where the University of South Carolina grad worked in the food and beverage department with the Columbia Fireflies (New York Mets) of the South Atlantic League. He also brings experience in marketing and sales with the Cottontown Brew Lab in Columbia, where he was involved in all aspects of the startup microbrewery.
"We are excited to add Matt to our staff and our confident in his ability to transition into our operation mid-season based on his previous experience in the league," said RiverDogs President and General Manager Dave Echols.
Smith is a former RiverDogs intern from the 2018 season, when she worked as a member of the promotions team while helping execute several of the RiverDogs' non-gameday special events. The Virginia native is a graduate of Charleston Southern University, where she earned a degree in Business Management with a Sports Communications minor.
"Maddie Grace was a standout intern for us last summer, showing a tremendous work ethic and attention to detail," remarked Echols. "She will be a key piece in operating our tremendous event space in the Riley Park Club and keeping it as the premier year-round venue available in Charleston."

The RiverDogs begin a brief, four-game road trip in Asheville starting on Tuesday and return home to The Joe for a four-game wraparound set with the Fireflies starting on Saturday night at 6:05 p.m.
Fans can "Make Fun" with the RiverDogs all season long down at The Joe. Single-game tickets, including options to the Riley Park Club, are now available at riverdogs.com/tickets or by contacting the RiverDogs front office at 843-577-3647 (DOGS).
