CHARLESTON, S.C. - After a weekend stay in Rome, the RiverDogs are back for more as they continue their busiest month of the season at Riley Park, opening a seven-day homestand at The Joe. The jam-packed week features the club's highly-anticipated rebrand as the Charleston Boiled Peanuts, a salute to the troops and the state of South Carolina, and a tribute to the 90's.
The RiverDogs start their second weeklong homestand in 18 days on Monday to face the Augusta GreenJackets in a four-game series before hosting the Drive for a three-game, weekend set:
Monday, July 23, 7:05 p.m.: Monday Dog Day: The RiverDogs' four-legged fans pack the park for another Monday Dog Day at The Joe, presented by 98 Rock. Cheer on the RiverDogs with your dog while enjoying dollar beers and hot dogs courtesy of Busch Light on the sixth canine-friendly ballgame of the season.
Tuesday, July 24, 7:05 p.m: Welcome to South Carolina Night/Live & Local Tuesday: The Dogs show their newest neighbors in the Palmetto State what Charleston is all about on a Live & Local Tuesday at The Joe presented by 105.5 The Bridge as the RiverDogs celebrate local music, food, and more featuring a farmer's market on the concourse, music from Joe Gallagher Jr., local restaurant pop-up Braised in the South, and celebrity guest PA announcer Dean Stephens from ABC News 4.
Wednesday, July 25, 7:05 p.m.: Military Appreciation Night/Way Back Wednesday: Kick it back to the Dogs' inaugural 1994 season as the RiverDogs celebrate the nation's armed forces on a Military Appreciation Night presented by Bank of America. All active, retired, reserve and veteran service members with a military ID will receive up to four complimentary tickets at the box office, and the RiverDogs will distribute tickets to the troops at Joint Base Charleston. As part of a Way Back Wednesday presented by Kirkman Broadcasting and ABC News 4, the Dogs suit up in their purple and teal throwbacks while fans can take advantage of $4 throwback prices to the 1994 inaugural season courtesy of Harris Teeter.
Thursday, July 26, 7:05 p.m.: Thirsty Thursday: Celebrate the summer on another Budweiser Thirsty Thursday at The Joe presented by 95SX as the RiverDogs roll out the barrel with dollar beers in Budweiser Ashley View Pub, featuring the musical stylings of DJ Natty Heavy. Be sure to follow DJ Natty, Southern Eagle, and 95SX on social media for chances to win wristbands that give you access to Club Budweiser -- the VIP experience where you don't wait in line for beer.
Friday, July 27, 7:05 p.m.: Friday Fireworks to the Music of the 90's: T.G.I.F! Celebrate the soundtrack of the 90's as the RiverDogs play the hits of the newest decade now considered "retro." Test your knowledge as fans are put through the ringer of "Friends" trivia, singalongs, and more. The night will wrap up with Home Telecom Friday Fireworks presented by WEZL and Live 5 News, featuring a 90's playlist. It's also a Red Shirt Friday at The Joe; fans that wear red can save a buck at the gate with the option to donate that dollar to the Palmetto Military Support Group as the RiverDogs face the Drive in the Spinx Battle for the Palmetto State.

Saturday, July 28, 6:05 p.m.: Boiled Peanuts Night/Helicopter Ball Drop: The Charleston club drops the RiverDogs name for one night only, transforming into the Charleston Boiled Peanuts, complete with a logo rebrand, new uniforms, a pregame peanut festival on the concourse, and more. Along with celebrating the Southern staple, the Saturday night contest against the Drive in a continuation of the Spinx Battle for the Palmetto State will also pay homage to Anthony Wright, a.k.a. "Tony the Peanut Man," a longtime ballpark vendor and fan favorite at The Joe, who passed away shortly after the 2016 season. The first 1,000 fans through the gate will receive their very own peanut bucket. As part of Saturdays Live at The Joe presented by NASH FM and Fox 24, fans can try their luck at winning $6,000 during as the RiverDogs' Helicopter Fly-In Ball Drop. Prior to the game, the RiverDogs will honor the three new inductees into the 2018 Class of the Charleston Baseball Hall of Fame: Umpire Lewis Dudley, former Citadel standout Richard Jones, and coach Jerry Stoots.
Sunday, July 29, 5:05 p.m: Holy City Sunday/Appearance by Spongebob Squarepants: Just like you can't take the Dog out of the RiverDogs (for long), a family day at the ballpark isn't complete with a visit by everyone's favorite sea sponge. Head out to Sunday's homestand finale for an appearance by Spongebob as part of an MUSC Health Family Sunday presented by CCPRC, Y102.5 and Lowcountry CW, meaning kids eat free, run the bases after the game, and everyone parks for free. Members of the MUSC Children's Health Kids Club (12 and under) also get in free as the home town team celebrates Charleston's namesake as the Holy City in the finale of the Spinx Battle for the Palmetto State. It's also Library Night in partnership with the Charleston County Public Library, featuring a book giveaway at the gate, an appearance by Owlbert, and the winners of the Summer Reading Program being honored on the field pregame.
RiverDogs single-game tickets, including options to the Riley Park Club, are now available for the 2018 campaign, the club's 25th season as the RiverDogs and their "175th season in dog years." Ticket information can be secured by contacting the box office at (843) 577-DOGS (3647) or online at www.riverdogs.com/tickets.
