COVID-19 FAQ

Q: Is the season going to start on time/when will you know if future games will be cancelled?

A: Please keep an eye on our website and social media for the most up to date information.

 

Q: What are you doing at the ballpark to make it safe for the spectators?

A: We are closely monitoring the health department recommendations here in Charlotte and Mecklenburg County to continue to evolve our response as needed. Procedures such as ongoing regularly scheduled deep cleanings, multiple hand sanitation stations, and encouraging cashless payments to help decrease the spread of germs have been implemented. 

 

Q: Can I come meet with you at the ballpark to discuss options or tour?

A: No, currently we are not allowing non-essential personnel at the ballpark for safety precautions.

Individual Game Tickets

Q: Can I come pick up my tickets/can I come down to purchase tickets?

A: No, currently we are not allowing non-essential personnel at the ballpark for safety precautions. However, we can e-mail the tickets to you and process the transaction over the phone.

 

Q: My game has been postponed (or will not be played on the originally scheduled date) due to the Coronavirus. What happens to my tickets?

A: You are eligible to switch out your tickets to a future 2020 Charlotte Knights home game.

Group Events: Rescheduling/Exchanges

Q: I have tickets to a future event. I don't feel comfortable attending the game, can I get a refund?

A: We understand your concern and can exchange your tickets for a future 2020 home game.

 

Q: What if we are open to changing our event date but we are unable to find a date that works?

A: If we are unable to find an event this season for your group, we are able to roll this deposit over to the 2021 season. 

 

Q: Do we have any ability to get our deposit back due to the health situation?

A: Your deposit can be transferred to a future Charlotte Knight's home game later in the 2020 season. 

B: If we are unable to find an event this season for your group, we are able to roll this deposit over to the 2021 season.

Season Memberships Questions

Q: Can I come and pick up my season ticket books?

A: No, at this current moment we are not allowing non-essential personnel at the ballpark for safety precautions. However, your tickets are available through your online account if immediately needed.

 

Q: If you cancel home games will we receive credit for those games?

A: Yes, in the event home games are cancelled and not rescheduled/played due the Coronavirus, you have a several options:

  • Apply the balance of funds for any games not played to additional tickets or food and beverage credit for 2020
  • Apply the funds for games not played toward the 2021 season
  • Apply the funds toward tickets to donate to health care workers on Health Care Heroes Appreciation Night
  • Apply the funds toward Charlotte Knights Charities' "Knights Care 4 CLT" Campaign to assist those affected by COVID-19

 

Q: If you cancel home games will I receive credit for my parking pass?

A: Yes, in the event home games are cancelled and not rescheduled/played due to the Coronavirus, you have several options:

  • Apply the balance of funds for any games not played to additional tickets or food and beverage credit for 2020
  • Apply the funds for games not played toward the 2021 season
  • Apply the funds toward tickets to donate to health care workers on Health Care Heroes Appreciation Night
  • Apply the funds toward Charlotte Knights Charities' "Knights Care 4 CLT" Campaign to assist those affected by COVID-19

 

Q: Will I receive a refund if I purchased all six games of the Sunbelt Collegiate Series and I don't want to attend the games that are potentially played?

A: You will receive a credit to use at BB&T Ballpark for the 2020 season.

Sponsorship Partner Questions

Q: If Knights games are cancelled and not rescheduled/played due to the Coronavirus, will I get a refund for my sponsorship?

A: The Knights are in the process of developing a sponsorship plan based on several scenarios that take into consideration a partial season - we plan to have those plans in place shortly.

 

Q: If the game I was supposed to have a concourse table is cancelled due to the coronavirus, what happens?

A: We will work with you to find another date for you to showcase your business.

Special Event/Non-Game Day Corporate Questions

Q: I have an event scheduled during the spring/summer, what will happen to my event with the MLB pushing back its season and possible impact on the Knights baseball season?

A: At the moment, all events are still scheduled unless the stay at home and social gatherings policies extend further into June and July. We will maintain constant communication to ensure all events are taken care of.

  • Should you choose to postpone your event to a later date in 2020 we can look at all available dates and transfer all event contract terms and payment to the new date.
  • Should you not find a suitable date for 2020, we can look at 2021 and transfer all event contract terms and payment to the new date in the new year.

 

Q: If I am interested in hosting an event at the ballpark, what are my options?

A: At the moment we are unsure when normal business will resume until we know the future of social gatherings and the safety of the community. In the meantime you can contact and speak with our Director of Special Events Grace Eng at [email protected] or 704-274-8216 and she can send venue event information.

 

Q: Can I come meet with the special events team to discuss events?

A: No, at the moment we are not holding any in-person meetings at the ballpark to keep everyone safe. You can reach the special events department by contacting Grace Eng, Director of Special Events.

 

Q: Can I come tour the ballpark venues spaces?

A: No, at the moment we are not holding any non-essential business activity at the ballpark to keep everyone safe.

 

Q: When do I have to make a decision about postponing or canceling my event?

A: We ask that all event decisions be made at least 7 business days before the event date in order for our staff to plan accordingly with staffing, F&B services, etc.
