(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) -- The Charlotte Caballeros rallied in the bottom of the eighth inning to edge out the Toledo Mud Hens by a score of 5-4 on Sunday afternoon at BB&T Ballpark. With the exciting win, the team finished up the six-game homestand with a 3-3 record.

Charlotte left fielder Eloy Jiménez -- the top prospect in the Chicago White Sox organization -- had a solid day at the dish for the Caballeros and played a key role late in the game. First, Jimenez got the Caballeros on the 'board in the first inning when he took Toledo RHP Phillippe Aumont deep to straight-away center. The 21-year-old's long ball -- a 408-foot shot -- was the first of his Triple-A career. His solo shot gave the team a 1-0 lead at that point.

Each of the teams tacked on a few more runs along the way, with the Mud Hens scoring three runs in the top of the seventh inning off Charlotte RHP Tyler Danish to take a 4-3 lead at that point. In the bottom of the seventh inning, second baseman Eddy Alvarez launched a solo home run to tie the game at 4-4. The home run was his third of the season.

One inning later, Charlotte took back the game and got help from leadoff batter José Rondón, who tripled to start the inning. Jiménez then entered the batter's box and played the role of hero. After homering earlier in the day, Jiménez ripped a go-ahead, RBI single to give the Caballeros a 5-4 lead and ultimately a win to snap their three-game losing skid.

RHP Miguel González, who began a major-league rehab assignment from the Chicago White Sox on Sunday, started the game for the Caballeros and was sharp. González allowed just one hit over three shutout innings and threw 37 pitches (26 for strikes) on the afternoon. RHP Donny Roach pitched two innings of relief and allowed just one run on three hits. The win went to RHP Gregory Infante (2-3, 5.48), who pitched two shutout innings in relief while striking out three batters.

On Monday, the Caballeros will head to Durham, NC to take on the Durham Bulls in the start of a three-day, four-game road series. RHP Michael Kopech will get the nod for the Knights in Monday's opener. Pre-game radio coverage will begin a 6:50 PM on 730 The Game ESPN Charlotte. The "Voice of the Charlotte Knights" Matt Swierad will have the call for the 7:05 p.m. game from The Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
