Caballeros Beat the Mud Hens 5-4 on Sunday
(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) -- The Charlotte Caballeros rallied in the bottom of the eighth inning to edge out the Toledo Mud Hens by a score of 5-4 on Sunday afternoon at BB&T Ballpark. With the exciting win, the team finished up the six-game homestand with a 3-3 record.

Charlotte left fielder Eloy Jiménez -- the top prospect in the Chicago White Sox organization -- had a solid day at the dish for the Caballeros and played a key role late in the game. First, Jimenez got the Caballeros on the 'board in the first inning when he took Toledo RHP
Each of the teams tacked on a few more runs along the way, with the Mud Hens scoring three runs in the top of the seventh inning off Charlotte RHP
One inning later, Charlotte took back the game and got help from leadoff batter José Rondón, who tripled to start the inning. Jiménez then entered the batter's box and played the role of hero. After homering earlier in the day, Jiménez ripped a go-ahead, RBI single to give the Caballeros a 5-4 lead and ultimately a win to snap their three-game losing skid.
RHP Miguel González, who began a major-league rehab assignment from the Chicago White Sox on Sunday, started the game for the Caballeros and was sharp. González allowed just one hit over three shutout innings and threw 37 pitches (26 for strikes) on the afternoon. RHP Donny Roach pitched two innings of relief and allowed just one run on three hits.
