Exciting Homestand Starts August 13

(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) - The Charlotte Knights return home to BB&T Ballpark on Tuesday, August 13th for one of their final homestands of the 2019 regular season!

On this homestand, the Knights will welcome New York Yankees legend Bernie Williams on August 13th to throw out the game's ceremonial first pitch and perform the National Anthem. Please note: Williams will NOT be signing autographs for fans.

The homestand will feature two celebrities signing autograhps starting with legendary boxing champion Christy Martin, who will meet fans on Thursday, August 15th. On Saturday, former New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox star pitcher Jos
é Contreras will meet fans and sign autographs. 

The Knights will host the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees) in a three-game series from BB&T Ballpark starting on Tuesday, August 13th. 

The exciting homestand continues on Friday, August 16th when the Knights welcome the Columbus Clippers (Triple-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians) to town for four games in three days. This series kicks-off with a 1:05 p.m. game on Friday, August 16th, and continues with a doubleheader starting at 5:05 p.m. on Saturday, August 17th. The doubleheader will feature the Knights as the home team in game one and the road team in the game two. The "road game:" is being made up from a postponement in Columbus, OH on Thursday, May 9th. The series concludes with a 5:05 p.m. game on Sunday, August 18th.
