Knights and Bats Suspended on Saturday from Uptown Charlotte

(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) -- Saturday's game between the Charlotte Knights and Louisville Bats from BB&T Ballpark in Uptown Charlotte has been suspended due to heavy rain. (UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) -- Saturday's game between the Charlotte Knights and Louisville Bats from BB&T Ballpark in Uptown Charlotte has been suspended due to heavy rain. The two teams will resume Saturday's suspended game at 1:05 p.m. on Sunday. The two teams will play that game to its conclusion and then play the regularly scheduled game, which will be a seven-inning contest.

Saturday's game was delayed at the start for three hours and six minutes with first pitch at 10:10 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams played into the fourth inning before rain once again delayed the game officially at 11:20 p.m. The game was officially suspended after 47 minutes.

Tickets from Saturday's game can be exchanged for a ticket of equal or lesser value for any 2019 Charlotte Knights' regular season home game, based on availability. Tickets must be exchanged at the Knights Ticket Office located at BB&T Ballpark.

Gates will open at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday and the Knights will host their first Caballeros de Charlotte game of the 2019 season presented by Compare Foods. Former Chicago White Sox pitcher Wilson Álvarez will sign autographs and throw out a ceremonial first pitch. The first 2,000 fans will receive an Eloy Jiménez Bobblehead.

Pre-game radio coverage on Sunday will begin at 1:00 p.m. on 730 The Game ESPN Charlotte. The "Voice of the Charlotte Knights" Matt Swierad and radio broadcaster Mike Pacheco will have the call for all of the action. Fans can also listen to the game in Spanish starting at 1:00 p.m. on 102.3 FM Latina with broadcasters Rafael Bastidas and Ernesto Hurtado.
