(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) -- Third baseman Zach Remillard launched two home runs and center fielder Blake Rutherford hit a grand slam to help lead the Charlotte Knights to a 13-7 win over the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp on Saturday night from Truist Field in Uptown Charlotte. The Knights recorded a total of four home runs on the evening.

Remillard homered twice to become the fourth Charlotte player this week to have a two-homer game. He joined Tim Beckham, who had two homers in back-to-back games (Tuesday and Wednesday) and Mikie Mahtook (Thursday). The home runs were the first two of Remillard’s Triple-A career. He finished the night 3-for-3 with three runs scored, two home runs and three RBIs.

Right fielder Gavin Sheets hit a solo home run in the seventh inning for his seventh of the season. Sheets went 1-for-4 with the home run and three RBIs on the night. Rutherford led the way with the grand slam and a total of four RBIs.

RHP Jimmy Lambert started for the Knights and allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits over four innings. He did not factor in the decision. LHP Kyle Kubat (1-0, 5.40) earned the win out of the Charlotte bullpen.

The Knights and Jumbo Shrimp will conclude the six-game series on Sunday with the finale set for 2:05 p.m. from Truist Field.
