(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) -- RHP Carson Fulmer struck-out 11 batters over seven solid innings, but the Charlotte Knights dropped the series finale to the Columbus Clippers by a score of 4-1 on Thursday night at BB&T Ballpark in Uptown Charlotte. Despite the loss, the Knights won two of three from the Clippers.

Thursday's game marked the Triple-A debut of outfielder Eloy Jiménez, the top prospect in the Chicago White Sox organization according to Baseball America. Jiménez, who was promoted from Birmingham earlier in the day, went 1-for-3 on the night with a walk in his first game wearing a Charlotte uniform.
Fulmer (3-3, 3.67) was saddled with the loss after pitching seven strong innings for the Knights. Fulmer's 11 strikeouts on the night are the most by a Knights starting pitcher this season. Infielder Patrick Leonard crushed his fifth home run of the season when he took Columbus RHP Cole Sulser deep in the 9th inning.
