Knights Fall to Bulls 9-4 on Saturday

Remillard & Lamb Both Launch Solo Homers

(DURHAM, NC) -- First baseman Zach Remillard and right fielder Jake Lamb both homered, but the Charlotte Knights fell to the Durham Bulls from Durham Bulls Athletic Park by a score of 9-4 on Saturday night in game five of the six-game series.

For the second time in three days, Remillard led a game off with a home run. His leadoff home run on Saturday -- on the first pitch of the night -- was his eighth long ball of the season. It quickly gave the Knights an early 1-0 lead.

The Bulls tied the game in the bottom of the second inning when Ryan Boldt hit a solo home run off Charlotte LHP Tanner Banks. Still, the Knights battled back to score two runs over the next two innings.

Left fielder Micker Adolfo recorded his first career Triple-A RBI and Chicago White Sox outfielder Jake Lamb launched his second home run on his major league rehab assignment.

With the Knights ahead by a score of 3-1, the Bulls charged back and scored five runs in the bottom of the fifth inning off LHP Kodi Medeiros (0-1, 4.98) to take a 6-3 lead. The five-run inning was highlighted by back-to-back home runs from Mike Brosseau and Kevin Padlo. Medeiros was charged with the loss.

The first-place Bulls added three more runs over the final three innings.

Chicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jiménez continued his major league rehab stint and went 1-for-4. Adolfo had a team-high two hits in the game.
