Knights Shut Out the Stripers 5-0 Saturday
(LAWRENCEVILLE, GA) -- RHP Spencer Adams shined in front of family and friends on Saturday night en route to his first career Triple-A victory.

Adams, a Cleveland, GA native, tossed seven shutout innings to lead the Charlotte Knights to a 5-0 win over the Gwinnett Stripers on Saturday in game two of their three-game series from Coolray Field in Lawrenceville, GA. The shutout was Charlotte's fifth of the season.
Adams (1-2, 2.97) allowed just four hits over seven scoreless innings pitched to earn the victory. The 22-year-old right-hander walked two batters and struck-out four. Adams, a 2014 graduate of White County High School in nearby Cleveland, GA, threw 107 pitches on the night and dazzled those in attendance who came out to see him pitch.

Offensively, the Knights used a three-run fifth inning and a two-run eighth inning to get past the Stripers and tie the series at one game apiece. Designated hitter
The Knights will conclude their three-game series against the Gwinnett Stripers (Triple-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves) on Sunday afternoon from Coolray Field.
