(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) -- First baseman Matt Skole ripped a game-winning double in the bottom of the 10th inning to lead the Charlotte Knights to a thrilling 7-6 win over the Louisville Bats on Saturday night in game three of their four-game series from BB&T Ballpark in Uptown Charlotte. The win was Charlotte's second of the series.

In a back-and-forth game, the Bats battled back late to change things up for the Knights. Louisville scored four runs in the eighth inning and then sent Saturday's game into extra innings thanks to a game-tying home run in the top of the ninth inning by Tim Federowicz off Charlotte RHP Ian Hamilton .

One inning later, with the game knotted at 6-6, Skole played the hero. Thanks to the new 2018 extra-innings rule, right fielder Eloy Jiménez started the bottom of the 10th inning on second base. Jiménez, the top prospect in the Chicago White Sox system, then scored the game-winning run on the RBI double from Skole.

Overall, the Knights tallied 11 hits on the night. Third baseman Patrick Leonard went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, while second baseman Eddy Alvarez had a game-high two RBIs. RHP Caleb Frare (1-0, 0.93) earned the win out of the bullpen for the Knights.

The Knights welcomed a sell-out crowd of 10,610 fans through the gates on Saturday for the team's 20th sell-out of the 2018 season.

On Sunday at BB&T Ballpark, the Knights will host the Bats in the finale of their four-game series. Pre-game radio coverage of Sunday's 5:05 p.m. game is set for 4:50 p.m. on 730 The Game ESPN Charlotte.
