(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) -- The Charlotte Knight dropped game four of the six-game series against the Durham Bulls by a score of 9-8 from Truist Field on Friday night. Despite the loss, the Knights once again battled back in the late innings.

Down by a score of 9-1, the Knights scored seven runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to pull to within one run. Three batters later, center fielder Mark Payton launched a two-run home run to bring the Knights to within just one run. The home run was Payton’s 10th of the season.

In the ninth, the Knights continued to mount a comeback, but were unable to push across anymore runs. With runners on first and second with just one out, Adolfo grounded into a game-ending double play, which sealed the win for the Bulls.
