Charlotte Stone Crabs Release 2016 Season Schedule
PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.-The Charlotte Stone Crabs, 2015 Florida State League Champions, have released their 2016 regular season schedule with start times for all 70 scheduled home games.

Opening Night will be on Saturday, April 9th at 6:05 PM against the Palm Beach Cardinals (St. Louis Cardinals). It marks the first time since 2013 that the Crabs open the season on a Saturday.
The Stone Crabs will play 16 home games in May, marking the most home games of any month during the 2016 season. April will feature 11 home games while the remaining months will see 15 home games in June, 13 home games in July, 14 home games in August and September's lone home game will be the regular season finale on September 1st.
Stone Crabs fans will see several new game times for the 2016 season as over 75% of the games will start at least 30 minutes earlier than they did for the 2015 season. "The Stone Crabs organization continually strives to be as fan friendly as possible," said General Manager, Jared Forma. "We always try to listen to our fan base and the feedback they provide us is invaluable. The overwhelming feedback we received was asking for earlier, more fan and family friendly start times."
For the 2016 season Monday through Friday games will begin at 6:35 PM, Saturday night games will begin at 6:05 PM while Sunday home games will start at 12:35 PM. There will be three exceptions to these game times:
-Wednesday, June 15th, The Stone Crabs "Summer Camp Day" will start at 10:05 AM
-Sunday, July 3rd will have a special start time of 6:05 PM as we celebrate the Independence Holiday with the best fireworks show in town!
-Monday, July 4th will start at 12:35 PM.
The Stone Crabs promotional schedule will feature eight firework nights this season, two in April (04/16; 04/30), two in May (05/14; 05/28), two in July (07/03; 07/23), one in August (08/20) and one in September (09/01).
