PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. (June 29, 2018) - After losing four straight, the Charlotte Stone Crabs bounced back at home with a 10-4 win over the Tampa Tarpons Friday at Charlotte Sports Park. 
The Stone Crabs (37-38, 3-5) bats came alive in the second inning after falling behind 2-0. They plated four runs thanks to an RBI single by Rene Pinto and a two-run triple by Zac LawLucius Fox capped the inning with an RBI double to left to make it 4-2 Charlotte.
Leading 4-3 in the bottom of the fifth, Robbie Tenerowicz tripled to the right field corner before Kevin Padlo drew a walk. The next batter was Josh Lowe , who drove a two-run double to left to score Tenerowicz and make the score 5-3. Pinto followed with a sacrifice fly to center to score Padlo and make the count 6-3.
The Stone Crabs added four runs against the Tarpons' (39-39, 4-4) bullpen in the eighth. Leading 6-4, Jake Fraley was hit by a pitch before Law delivered his second run-scoring triple of the night to extend the Charlotte lead to 7-4. Fox then plated Law on a single to right to make it 8-4. After a walk, Jesús Sánchez dropped a single into center to chase home two and cap the scoring at 10-4.
Entering Friday, the Stone Crabs had scored only two runs on 17 hits over their previous four games, batting .156 as a team.
Kenny Rosenberg  (5-1) threw 5.2 innings of four-run baseball while Spencer Jones  and Ivan Pelaez  combined for 3.1 innings of hitless relief. Jones worked 2.1 frames while Pelaez turned in a scoreless ninth.
Saturday's 6:05 p.m. matchup will feature left-hander Brock Burke  (2-5, 4.24) for the Stone Crabs and righty Garrett Whitlock  (3-1, 1.80) of the Tarpons. Coverage begins at 5:50 p.m. on the Stone Crabs Baseball Network.
