Gains one game on first-place Hammerheads

JUPITER, Fla. (May 13, 2018) - The Charlotte Stone Crabs took two out of three games over the Jupiter Hammerheads this weekend at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium.
The weekend was highlighted by Thursday's extra-innings win:
THURSDAY (W 8-4 in 10 innings)
David Rodríguez' bases clearing triple in the top of the tenth inning broke a 4-4 tie, leading the Stone Crabs to their first extra-innings victory of the season. Jesús Sánchez, Kevin Padlo and Miles Mastrobuoni all had three hits in the win. Brandon Lawson turned in a quality start, allowing just one run on five hits over six innings.  
FRIDAY (W 7-6)
The Stone Crabs opened up a 7-0 lead after five and a half innings, and held on to claim the series over Jupiter. Robbie Tenerowicz and Tristan Gray each had two hits and two RBI each. Kenny Rosenberg (3-1) went five scoreless before allowing four runs in the sixth. After J.D. Busfield and Adrian Navas both allowed the Hammerheads to creep closer, Brandon Koch sealed the game with a perfect ninth inning, earning his first save.
SATURDAY (L 3-4)
The Stone Crabs blew a 3-1 lead in the final two innings, allowing one run in the eighth and two in the ninth, missing an opportunity at a potential sweep. Jesus Sanchez led the offensive effort, earning two hits and two RBI. Sam McWilliams was terrific in his second start as a member of the Tampa Bay organization, working six innings while allowing just one unearned run on four hits.
