FIRST EXTRA INNING WIN

By Chattanooga Lookouts | May 2, 2018 11:39 PM ET

It took three close games to get to their first new extra inning format but when they did the Lookouts finished the game with a 7-6 victory. After leading by six runs in the first five innings the bullpen fell short in stopping the BayBears cold. The Mobile group would tie the game in the ninth to go to the extra iining trial. Todd VanSteensel was touched for the tying run but managed the win on a game ending double play. Both teams offense struggled as they struck out 28 times between them. Both teams would get nine hits, however the Lookouts defense prevailed in the win with the game ending double play. Thursday night the Lookouts send RH-Kohl Stewart to the mound to face RH-Jose Rodriguez. Hear the game on Rewal 96.1 and at MiLB.com.
