Isabel's 21st Homer Not Enough in 11-4 Loss

By Chattanooga Lookouts | July 6, 2019 10:16 PM

Ibandel Isabel hit his league leading 21st home run, but it wasn't enough as the Lookouts fell to the Jackson Generals, 11-4.

Jackson got on the board early as Ramon Hernandez hit his third home run in two days. After the three run first they tacked on another in the third before the Lookouts got their first run across the plate. In the bottom of the third inning, Michael Beltre hit a two-run homer to bring them within two.

The Generals increased their lead to three in the fifth inning on a fielding error. Lookouts starter Packy Naughton went six innings and only allowed on earned run. His ERA is now down to 2.98 on the season.

In the sixth Chattanooga inched within one run on Ibandel Isabel's league leading 21st homer. He also leads the league in RBIs with 59.

In the eighth inning Jazz Chisholm made his mark with a two-run homer. An inning later he hit a three-run shot to ensure the victory for the away team. Chisholm finished the night with three hits and five RBIs.

Tomorrow, the Lookouts send Reiver Sanmartin (0-2, 6.35) to the mound against Matt Peacock (4-3, 2.67). Gates for tomorrow's game open at 1:00 p.m. with game time set for 2:15 p.m.
