The Chattanooga Lookouts scored a season-high 16 runs in a runaway victory over the Pensacola Blue Wahoos. The offensive deluge began right away when the Lookouts scored on a single and a two-run Yoel Yanqui home run.

The score remained 3-1 until the seventh inning, due to a fantastic pitching performance by the Lookouts bullpen. Starting pitcher Connor Curlis went four innings and only allowed one run and was relieved by Alexis Diaz who twirled two shutout innings.

In the bottom of the seventh innings, the Lookouts bats once more roared to life. The team used five straight singles and some wild pitches to push across five runs. An inning later the team slugged four doubles to bring about a season-high eight runs in one inning.

Jose Barrero led the way for Chattanooga with four hits and four RBIs. Yanqui hit his fifth homer and drove in three RBIs.
