April 23, 2014

El Paso Chihuahuas Transaction Report

Former El Paso Chihuahuas OF/INF Daniel Robertson has been traded by the San Diego Padres to the Texas Rangers and was in uniform for the Rangers game against the Oakland A's today. Robertson played in five Chihuahuas games after beginning the season on the disabled list. He went 8-for-22 with two home runs and five RBIs with El Paso. Robertson's first game will be his Major League debut. He becomes the second El Paso Chihuahuas player to go to the Major Leagues, after LHP Bobby LaFromboise was recalled by San Diego in early April.

Here are additional San Diego Padres transactions affecting El Paso's roster:

-INF Alberto Gonzalez released

-C Rocky Gale placed on 7-day disabled list

-INF Tyler Greene acquired by San Diego from Atlanta and assigned to El Paso
