Idaho Falls, ID -- The Voyagers have had a crazy good start to the second half of the Pioneer League. While they haven't been Dodgers-hot, the team entered this game winners of 15 of the past 18 games. Add one more win to that list, they knock off the Chukars 13-12.

Idaho Falls has run into a buzz-saw. The Voyagers have produced 65 runs in the six games of the road trip. Great Falls got to Yender Caramo early and often. The team scored multiple runs in the first four frames. Jacob Morris got the party started with a run scoring double in the first. Corey Thompson later increased hit hit streak to 17 games with a run scoring single. The lone Great Falls long ball came in the third off the bat off Zac Fisher. The Voyagers scored the first eight runs of the game, and ended up leading 10-2.

Idaho Falls did rally back to make it close. The squad scored in each of the final four innings. Frank Schwindel blasted a three run home run off the video screen beyond left field in the eighth. His shot made the score 13-10. Voyagers relief pitcher Eric Jaffe entered the game in the ninth, and retired two of the first three batters. Then the Greybirds mounted another rally. Each with two strikes, Elier Hernandez and Humberto Arteaga singled. Zane Evans kept the train moving with a hard hit single. Idaho Falls had the winning run on base with Stubbs at the plate. Stubbs launched the first pitch the center field, but it landed into the glove of Adam Engel.

The Voyagers continue to cruise in the Pioneer League North. Meanwhile, the loss drops the Chukars a half game back of the Orem Owlz in the South.

The Chukars finish the homestand tomorrow against Great Falls. Jake Junis is scheduled to pitch for Idaho Falls.
