The Clinton LumberKings failed to get much going offensively in a series opening loss to the Burlington Bees, 5-0, on Friday night at LumberKings Stadium. The loss was the LumberKings (24-23) third shutout loss of the season.

The Clinton LumberKings came away with a split of a doubleheader with the Beloit Snappers at Harry Pohlman Field on Thursday night. Clinton (24-22) blew a six-run lead to fall 6-11 to the Snappers (16-29) and then held on in game two for a 3-2 win.

Chris Vallimont took a perfect game into the seventh inning and the LumberKings bid for a no-hitter was broken up with one out in the ninth.
