The Clippers scored five times in the first inning. Austin Jackson doubled and scored on Yandy Díaz's single to right. Diaz scored on Richie Shaffer's double to the left-center field wall. Giovanny Urshela walked. Nellie Rodríguez walked to load the bases. Chris Colabello drove in two runs on a ground rule double to left-center. Rodriguez scored on Adam Moore's sacrifice fly to right field. Columbus 5, SWB 0.

The RailRiders scored two in the top of the fourth inning on a home run by former Clipper Clint Frazier and added another run in the fifth inning. Columbus 5, SWB 3.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, Colabello singled, Moore doubled. Colabello scored on Jackson's slow roller that was booted by third baseman Gleyber Torres. Moore moved to third base. Columbus 6 SWB 3.
Adam Plutko pitched 5 innings allowing just four hits and three runs, striking out four and walking one to pick up the win.
Cole Sulser pitched the scoreless sixth, giving up a hit and striking out two.
Tyler Olson followed with scoreless seventh and eighth innings.
Joe Colon walked the first two batters in the ninth, and then struck out Frazier and Rob Refsnyder before retiring Mason Williams on a ground ball to pick up his fourth save of the season.
