The Clippers opened the scoring two runs in the top of the first inning in Gwinnett, Saturday evening on singles by Bradley Zimmer, Ronny Rodríguez, and Chris Colabello. Columbus added another run in the top of the third, again on three singles, this time by Rodriguez, Colabello, and Richie Shaffer. Columbus 3, Gwinnett 0.

The Braves scored a run in the fifth inning and went ahead in the game with three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning. Gwinnett 4 Columbus 3.
The Clippers took the lead back in the eighth inning on a walk and a steal of second base by Zimmer, a base on balls to Shaffer, a single by Giovanny Urshela that load the bases. Zimmer and Shaffer scored on Erik Kratz single. Columbus 5, Gwinnett 4

Columbus scored the games final two runs in the ninth inning. Jordan Smith was hit by a pitch, Nellie Rodríguez doubled down the left field line, sending Smith to third. Smith and Nellie Rodriguez scored on a single by Ronny Rodriguez. Columbus 7, Gwinnett 4.
Shawn Morimando had a excellent outing, going 6 Innings, giving up six hits and just one unearned run, whiffing 7 and walking one.
Kyle Crockett (1-0) earned his first win of the season in relief and Shawn Armstrong picked up his fourth save of the season.
