Columbus added another run in the top of the third, again on three singles, this time by Rodriguez, Colabello, and Richie Shaffer. Columbus 3, Gwinnett 0.
The Braves scored a run in the fifth inning and went ahead in the game with three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning. Gwinnett 4 Columbus 3.
The Clippers took the lead back in the eighth inning on a walk and a steal of second base by Zimmer, a base on balls to Shaffer, a single by Giovanny Urshela that load the bases. Zimmer and Shaffer scored on Erik Kratz single. Columbus 5, Gwinnett 4

Columbus scored the games final two runs in the ninth inning. Jordan Smith was hit by a pitch, Nellie Rodriguez doubled down the left field line, sending Smith to third. Smith and Nellie Rodriguez scored on a single by Ronny Rodriguez. Columbus 7, Gwinnett 4.
Shawn Morimando had a excellent outing, going 6 Innings, giving up six hits and just one unearned run, whiffing 7 and walking one.
Kyle Crockett (1-0) earned his first win of the season in relief and Shawn Armstrong picked up his fourth save of the season.
