The ninth-inning blow snapped the Hooks' win streak at six.

Down 5-1, Corpus Christi (24-17) sent nine men to bat and scored four times in the eighth. Taylor Jones, Randy César and Ryne Birk each recorded an RBI. Carmen Benedetti scored the tying run on a wild pitch by Locke St. John.
The Hooks pushed ahead, 6-5, in the ninth on Cesar's two-out bases-loaded infield RBI single.
Sean Stutzman entered for Chris Nunn, who worked two scoreless frames, in the ninth. After inducing a pop out to start the inning, Stutzman walked Yanio Perez. Beck was next and hit a 1-0 fastball over the fence in left, sending the RoughRiders to their fourth consecutive win.

Hooks starter Brock Dykxhoorn limited Frisco to four hits over the first sixth innings, though two of those knocks were lead-off home runs by Beck and Hunter Cole in the third and fourth.
Jose Trevino opened the seventh with a dinger to left field, paving the way toward a three-run frame for Frisco (12-29).
Myles Straw, who scored Corpus Christi's first run in the sixth on a two-out Benedetti single, went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases.
