FRISCO - Texas League Postseason All-Star Ryan Hartman scattered three hits over six innings of work Thursday night, pushing the Hooks to a 3-1 victory over the RoughRiders before 7,427 fans at Dr Pepper Ballpark.
Corpus Christi (37-28, 80-54) can clinch the Texas League South second-half title with a win over Frisco (35-31, 59-77) Friday night.

The damage against Hartman came on a solo home run by Luis Mendez in the third. The 24-year-old southpaw struck out nine and walked one.
Hartman (11-4) is now tied for the Texas League lead with 11 wins. He ranks first in the circuit in ERA (2.69) and strikeouts (143).
The Hooks jumped on Edgar Arredondo (0-4) for two runs in the first. Josh Rojas cracked an RBI single into center and Taylor Jones followed with a run scoring double.
Rehabbing Astros outfielder Jake Marisnick handed the Hooks their third run with a seventh-inning sac fly.
Ralph Garza fanned three batters over two scoreless innings of relief.
Erasmo Pinales picked up his seventh save by striking out Preston Beck, who represented the tying run, to end the game.
Corbin Martin (7-2, 2.78) is slated to work for the Hooks Friday night. Frisco plans to send lefty Taylor Hearn (1-2, 4.95) to the hill.
