MIDLAND - Lorenzo Quintana's eighth-inning grand slam off Daulton Jefferies completed a 13-1 Sunday afternoon rout of the RockHounds in the series finale at Security Bank Ballpark.
The Hooks, who have won six of their last eight meetings with Midland, now trail the first-place Hounds by two games in the Texas League South second-half race.

Corpus Christi set the tone in the first when J.J. Matijevic seared a two-run double down the right-field line off Matt Milburn.
In the third, the Hooks sent 12 men to bat, scoring six runs on eight hits. Seth Beer and Colton Shaver belted home runs to help fuel the blitz.
In his last two starts against Corpus Christi, Milburn has surrendered 21 runs on 23 hits over 6.2 innings.
John Gorman and Jefferies teamed to record 12 consecutive outs until Matijevic smoked an opposite-field triple off the wall in left. Colton Shaver promptly plated Matijevic who was a home run shy of the cycle.
Corpus Christi's first 14 hits all came with two outs.
Quintana's clout in the eighth was his third slam in his last eight games, becoming the second Hook in the club's 15-year history to record three grand slams in the same season. Mark Saccomanno accomplished the feat in 2006.
Lefty Brett Adcock made the start for Corpus Christi, yielding one run on four hits and one walk in 3.2 innings. Adcock fanned four, throwing 32 of 52 pitches for strikes.
Yohan Ramirez struck out four and blanked the Hounds over 3.1 innings. Nick Hernandez, activated Sunday from the injured list, and Carlos Sanabria each worked a scoreless inning.
The Hooks are off Monday before opening a seven-game homestand on Tuesday. Click Here for the happenings at Whataburger Field as Northwest Arkansas and Springfield come to town.
