TL Umpires: Starr the Best

CORPUS CHRISTI - For a seventh consecutive year, the umpires' locker room at Whataburger Field has been voted tops in the Texas League.

Hooks Clubhouse Manager Brad Starr, who manages the officials dressing area and oversees visiting clubhouse manager Michael Suarez, has won the award on eight occasions.

"Any success we have is predicated on delivering outstanding customer service," Hooks VP/GM Michael Wood said. "Our customers include the paying public, sponsors, Hooks players and field staff members, and game officials. For the last decade, Brad has consistently delivered top-flight service to our players, visiting teams, and umpires."

Voting among the 12 league umpires decides the annual winner.
