Cougars Announce 2017 Ballpark Concert Series and Entertainment Acts

Concerts feature popular Chicagoland area bands; ZOOperstars and BirdZerk! set to return

GENEVA, Ill. - The Kane County Cougars have announced the lineup for the 2017 Ballpark Concert Series as well as the entertainment acts that will delight fans throughout select games this upcoming season. This is the second of three promotional announcements that the Cougars will make in advance of single-game tickets going on sale Wednesday, March 1 at 10 a.m.

With today's announcement, the Cougars have now released information on weekly specials and entertainment acts for the 2017 season. An announcement regarding theme nights and promotional giveaways will be made shortly.

The Ballpark Concert Series will take place before each Saturday evening game beginning June 17, including an additional concert on Monday, July 3. Fans can enjoy live music as each game ticket includes admission to that night's pre-game concert in the Music Garden, presented by the Acres Group.

June 17 - Mr. Myers Band, a Jimmy Buffett cover band will perform a mix of Buffett/beach music with post-game entertainment by the high flying Jesse White Tumblers.

July 1 - Big Band Boom, an 18-piece modern jazz ensemble, performs live big band music while fans will be dazzled by Sky Dive Chicago as they make a post-game landing at Northwestern Medicine Field.

July 3 - An additional concert date has been added this season for the Cougars "Fourth of July" celebration. Back Country Roads, based out of DeKalb, Ill. will play Top 40 Country hits along with some country classics as we celebrate America.

July 15 - Heartache Tonight, the premier Eagles tribute band, will rock the Music Garden stage prior to the game with in-game entertainment provided by the wacky whirlybird BirdZerk!

July 29 - Beatles tribute band, American English, will take the stage with their vintage outfits and instruments to provide fans with the full Beatles experience. ZOOperstars! will entertain fans throughout the game as well with their outrageous and unpredictable antics.

August 12 - Rico brings their rich sound of afro-cuban rhythms to Northwestern Medicine Field with in-game entertainment provided by the ZOOperstars!

August 19 - Hi Infidelity will bring the hits from 80's and today to the Music Garden while the acrobatic Jesse White Tumblers will dazzle fans post-game.

September 2 - Rock/pop band SEMPLE closes out the concert series for 2017 with their lineup of timeless rock classics from the 60's to today while the Jesse White Tumblers return for their final performance of the season.

Each of the above concert dates will also include a post-game fireworks show. 

Additional entertainment acts throughout the season include stunts from Extreme Pogo Entertainment on July 2, a Quick Change performance on August 18, plus Friendly Farms LTD is bringing their petting zoo and pony rides to the KidZone, presented by Rainbow Play Systems, on June 18, July 16 and August 13.
