Cougars Homestand Preview: July 26-August 1

Team to honor Wayne's World, former players and first responders throughout homestand

GENEVA, Ill. - The Kane County Cougars, Class-A Minor League affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, begin a seven-game homestand on Wednesday evening when they host the Beloit Snappers (Oakland Athletics affiliate) and the Quad Cities River Bandits (Houston Astros affiliate). Homestand highlights include a Wayne's World bobblehead giveaway, statue giveaway featuring three former players who won the 2016 World Series as well as a new specialty jersey for First Responders Night.

Wednesday, July 26 vs. Beloit Snappers (Oakland Athletics) - 6:30 PM (Gates open at 5:30 PM) - WBIG 1280 AM (6:15 PM)

  • Half-Price Hump Day, presented by GFS Stores - half-price deals on reserved and lawn tickets plus select concessions & souvenirs
  • Seniors Half-Price Tickets - Seniors (age 65 and older) can purchase half-price box, reserved or lawn tickets
  • Post-game autographs in the Team Store with Marcus Wilson
  • Run the bases (weather permitting).

 

Thursday, July 27 vs. Beloit Snappers- 6:30 PM (Gates open at 5:30 PM) - WBIG 1280 AM (6:15 PM)

  • Wayne's World Night - Wayne Campbell giveaway for the first 1,500 fans (see below for voucher distribution instructions)
  • Thirsty Thursday, presented by Miller Lite - $1 select beers, sodas and hot dogs
  • A Zoo To You Petting Zoo - located in the KidZone
  • Post-game fireworks, presented by Miller Lite - set to an 90's playlist
  • Post-game autographs in the Team Store with Paxton De La Garza

Saturday, July 29 vs. Quad Cities River Bandits (Houston Astros) - 6:30 PM (Gates open at 4:30 PM) - WBIG 1280 AM (6:15 PM)

  • First Responders Night - team wearing specialty jerseys honoring firefighters and police officers
  • Pre-game concert in the Acres Music Garden with American English beginning at 4:45 PM
  • First Responder vehicles on display
  • In-game entertainment from the ZOOperstars!
  • Post-game fireworks - set to a classic rock playlist
  • Post-game autographs in the Team Store with Jake Winston
  • Run the bases (weather permitting)

 

Sunday, July 30 vs. Quad Cities River Bandits - 1:00 PM (Gates open at Noon) - WBIG 1280 AM (12:45 PM)

  • Sunday Funday, presented by Dave & Busters - half-price wristbands in the KidZone play area
  • Kids Eat Free - Kids age 3-10 receive a voucher at the gate for a free hot dog and small soda
  • Pre-game autographs on the field with the Cougars
  • A.D.O.P.T Pet Shelter at Gate 1 with animals looking for a forever home and information on pet adoption

  • Micro Monday - 50% off craft and premium beers
  • All Faiths Night

Tuesday, August 1 vs. Quad Cities River Bandits - Noon (Gates open at 11 AM) - WBIG 1280 AM (11:45 AM)

  • Day Camp Day
  • Seniors Half-Price Tickets - Seniors (age 65 and older) can purchase box, reserved and lawn tickets for half-price
  • Seniors Eat Free - Seniors (age 65 and older) receive a voucher at the gate for a free hot dog and small soda
  • Pre-game parade for day campers in attendance
  • Pre-game autographs on the field with the Cougars
  • Run the bases (weather permitting)

 

Party On, Wayne: Gate 3 will be the only entry point into the ballpark until all Wayne's World bobblehead vouchers have been distributed. Gate 3 will open at 5:30 PM and the first 1,500 fans with a valid game ticket, including suites, will receive a voucher to exchange for a bobblehead. One voucher per person. Voucher exchange will occur on the center field deck beginning at the top of the 5th inning. Gate 1 will be closed until all vouchers have been distributed. The parking lot will open at 4 PM.  

2016 World Series Champions Statue: Gate 3 will be the only entry point into the ballpark until all World Series Champions statue vouchers have been distributed. Gate 3 will open at 5:30 PM and the first 1,500 fans with a valid game ticket, including suites, will receive a voucher to exchange for a statue. One voucher per person. Voucher exchange will occur on the Music Garden state beginning at the top of the 5th inning. Gate 1 will be closed until all vouchers have been distributed. The parking lot will open at 4 PM.
