GENEVA, Ill. - The Kane County Cougars, in conjunction with Giftmart, have kicked off a toy drive in which fans can receive a free undated ticket voucher by donating a new, unwrapped toy for elementary-aged children. The pick-up location at the Cougars' administrative office at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark (34W002 Cherry Lane in Geneva) is now open and fans who donate a toy between now and July 11 will receive one undated ticket voucher for a 2014 regular season Cougars game. Fans who donate can also enter to win a ceremonial first pitch for the Cougars' Christmas in July theme night, to be held on Friday, July 11. All of the collected toys will be donated to Giftmart that evening. Fans attending that evening's game are also encouraged to donate a toy on their way into the ballpark.

For more than a decade, Giftmart has operated at elementary schools in east Aurora, providing the gift of dignity by collecting more than 90,000 toys and selling them at a cost of $2 per toy to parents. Giftmart also paves the way for these communities to provide the gift of education to their children by donating the proceeds back to their schools, resulting in the purchase of much-needed library books, computers, musical instruments and other supplies.
